A series of 4 Show Jumping Points shows to earn points towards an overall league winner. All the shows will be held indoors at Woodnook Arena where the cafe will be open to keep competitors and spectators fed and watered. Points will be awarded per class per combination. The horse & rider combination that has accumulated the most points by the end of the league will be awarded the overall league trophy. Points can be accumulated by both members and non members. Each class awards the same points values. Each combination may only enter two classes per round and classes must be consecutive. If combinations want to enter more than two rounds additional rounds must be entered HC. The lowest height class(es) must be the ones entered HC. Where there are sufficient entries classes will be split into ponies and horses sections. Where classes are split points will be awarded by section not as a class overall.
Points are awarded as follows: 1st place - 10 points, 2nd place - 9 points, 3rd place - 8 points, 4th place - 7 points, 5th place - 6 points, 6th place - 5 points down to 10th place - 1 point. 2 additional points awarded to each combination entered per round.
There will be a clear round before each class which will be open for 10 minutes for anyone wishing to enter who is not competing in the class. Anyone competing in the class can enter clear round and will complete their clear round immediately prior to their class round. Clear round entries not competing in the class must jump before the class starts. Clear round entries for non class competitors will be limited and allocated on a first come first served basis. There will be a maximum limit of 4 clear round entries per combination per round. All initial rounds will be timed. Only those who go clear will go into a jump off where the combination (s) with the fastest time will be the winner. All combinations with faults will be awarded points in order of least faults followed by fastest time from their first round. Clear round will be charged at £4 per entry for PMRC/BRC members £5 for non members.
Entries for both classes and clear rounds will only be taken on the day. Membership will be accepted on the day/at the time of entry and will qualify for immediate reduced entry fees. BRC membership card/number to be produced to qualify for reduced entry fees.
***Please be mindful classes 1 - 3 are for nervous and novice horses and riders. Please allow these combinations an opportunity by only entering these classes if you feel you meet this criteria.***
Individual Round Prizes
Rosettes to 6th in each class.
Classes will be split by Ponies (14'2 and under) and Horses (14'3 and above) where sufficient entries (minimum of 18 entries for the class consisting of a minimum of 6 ponies and 6 horses).
League Prizes
Overall trophy and rosette for champion and special rosette for reserve champion for combinations with the highest number of points in each height league and overall.
Special rosette for highest placed member in overall league if trophy won by a non-member.
Rosettes to 6th place in all height leagues and overall league.
Trophies and rosettes will be awarded at our AGM in March 2020
General Rules
All horses/ponies must have received an equine influenza vaccination booster within the 12 months before each round or the first 2 injections from the primary course within 6 months of each round. Vaccinations must not have been within the 7 days leading up to the show. Please ensure you have your horse/pony’s passport with you as we will be randomly checking on the day. Failure to evidence in date vaccination may lead to you being asked to leave the showground.
Hats meeting current BHS standards, with harnesses properly adjusted and fastened must be worn at all times when mounted. Gloves and correct footwear should be worn.
The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. Everyone at the event must obey all instructions from organisers.
Entries are made at your own risk. No liability can be accepted for loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, riders or any other person or property however caused,
Competitors must have third party insurance.
The organisers have the right to alter, merge or cancel classes at their discretion.
Under 18’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
No horses/ponies under 4 years old.
No stallions allowed.
The club reserves the right to amend the rules at any point during the competition should this be deemed a requirement. The club will not amend the rules relating to the points allocations once the first round has started.
